the first moment u held me in your arms,

you thought i was the most beautiful girl in the world..

your eyes shone with such ardent love,

and you vowed to keep me safe under your gentle wing..

you thought you were blessed when i came along ,

and in your eyes,

i could do little wrong,

you glowed with pride for the little things i achieved,

and your eyes lit with pleasure for the little gifts i gave..

you laughed when you smile radiated with happiness

you cried when my tears overflowed in my face

you ached when you thought i was slipping away

you almost died with the pain of the thing i had to say..

there where times when i turned my back

and failed you..hurt you..ignored you..

when i was wrapped in my own misery,

i wasn't always the easiest person to live with,

but you always understood when nobody did..

and everyday the dusk falls and then darkness claims the sky.

and everyone has left.

i face the night unmasked,vulnerable

and i dont see anything except the light in those eyes
